Cats Feel Anxiety Deeply. They Just Can't Tell You.
Hiding under beds. Excessive grooming. Refusing to eat. Destructive scratching. These aren't bad behaviours — they're your cat telling you they're overwhelmed and scared.
The PAWVIVE Cat Calming Vest wraps your cat in gentle, even compression — the same technique used by animal behaviourists to soothe an overactivated nervous system. Like being held safely, it signals to your cat that they are protected. Most cats visibly settle within minutes of putting it on.
No medication. No sedation. No side effects. Just calm.
How It Works
The wide belly calming belt applies gentle maintained pressure across your cat's core — directly targeting the area most linked to the stress response in felines. The elastic collar and brim keep it comfortable and secure without restricting movement or breathing.
What Makes It Different
✦ Wide velcro belly belt — applies gentle calming pressure to the core
✦ Double layer fabric — soft against skin, durable on the outside
✦ Elastic collar and brim — comfortable fit without restriction
✦ Adjustable back fastening — stays secure even on active cats
✦ Lightweight design — cats barely notice they're wearing it
✦ Machine washable — practical for real life

How To Use It
Introduce the vest slowly — let your cat sniff it first. Put it on 10–15 minutes before a known trigger for best results. For ongoing anxiety, short daily sessions help build a positive association. Most cats need 2–3 sessions before the calming response strengthens.
Never leave your cat unsupervised in the vest for more than 2–3 hours at a time.
⚠️ Important Sizing Note
This vest runs on Asian sizing — we strongly recommend sizing UP if you are between sizes or if your cat is on the larger side of any measurement. When in doubt, go bigger — a slightly loose fit is safer and more comfortable than too tight.
Measure your cat's neck circumference, chest circumference, and back length (base of neck to base of tail) before ordering.
| Size | Neck | Chest | Back Length | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| S | 18cm | 30cm | 24cm | Small cats, kittens 4kg+ |
| M | 23cm | 38cm | 28cm | Average adult cats 4–6kg |
| L | 28cm | 45cm | 35cm | Larger cats 6kg+ |
If your cat measures between sizes, always choose the larger size.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will my cat tolerate wearing it? Most cats adjust within 5–10 minutes. Start with short sessions of 15–20 minutes and gradually increase. Never force it — let them sniff and explore it first.
How tight should it be? Snug but not restrictive. You should be able to slide two fingers comfortably under the vest. It needs to be firm enough to provide compression but never tight enough to restrict breathing or movement.
Can I leave it on overnight? We don't recommend overnight use. 1–3 hours situationally is ideal. Always monitor your cat the first few times they wear it.
Is it safe after surgery? Many owners use it post-surgery to keep cats calm during recovery. Always consult your vet first for post-surgical use.
How do I wash it? Machine wash cold, gentle cycle. Air dry flat. Do not tumble dry or iron.
My cat keeps removing it — what do I do? This usually means it's too loose. Try the next size down or readjust the velcro for a snugger fit. Distraction with treats immediately after putting it on also helps build a positive association.
